K'taka issues guidelines, CBSE and ICSE private schools under scanner

The Karnataka Department of School Education and Literacy has reiterated strict guidelines for private school admissions for the 2025–26 academic year. Schools must display seat availability, fee details, and admission schedules publicly. Fifty percent of seats must be reserved for girls, and interviews or capitation fees are strictly prohibited. Institutions must follow board-specific and state regulations. Non-compliance, including by CBSE and ICSE schools, will attract action, ensuring fair and transparent admissions across the state.
