'Wholewheat' but only 19.5% atta: CCPA orders McVitie's to change packaging

The CCPA ordered McVitie's to stop using the "Wholewheat" claim on its biscuits. This action followed concerns raised about misleading health claims on food products. The authority found the biscuit packaging contained only 19.5 percent whole wheat flour. McVitie's explanation about its trademark was rejected by the CCPA. The company was fined Rs 1 lakh and directed to change its packaging.
