Why is the Army turning to XWG Diesel for combat vehicles in Ladakh?

The Indian Army has introduced Xtreme Weather Grade diesel for high-altitude operations. This specialized fuel ensures vehicle mobility and safety in extreme cold conditions. Regular diesel often freezes and clogs filters at sub-zero temperatures. The new fuel remains effective down to minus 42 degrees Celsius. This innovation enhances operational readiness along the LAC and LoC.
